Looking to build brand awareness and expand consumer reach, Explore Cuisine was looking for a way to distribute targeted product samples to health conscious families.


Using the Sampler Exchange, Explore Cuisine distributed Organic Red Lentil Penne and Organic Chickpea Fusilli product to primary shoppers within Sampler’s Health & Wellness and Mom & Kids audience networks.

Consumers who follow these wellness and parenting websites were invited to join a sampling program by filling out a quick consumer profile powered by Sampler.

When a consumer that matched with the targeting perimeters, they could opt-in to receive a free box of Explore Cuisine pasta.

Average Consumer Profile

  • Women aged 25-34

  • She follows an active lifestyle, and is open to trying healthy food alternatives

  • May have children, and is looking for an easy but delicious healthy meal that her children will love

  • Lives in the United States.

Key Results

Explore Cuisine has been using Sampler analytics to compare different flavors. They were surprised to find that the Organic Chickpea Fusilli was the highest rated–the product that had the fewest marketing dollars behind it.

  • 77% of respondents indicated that they are Very Likely or Likely to purchase the product after trialling it.

  • Explore Cuisine received a 36% response rate on their follow-up survey.

  • The Organic Chickpea Fusilli saw a Take Rate of 92%, while the Organic Red Lentil Penne saw a Take Rate of 71%.

With these key insights in mind, Explore Cuisine can now understand that the Organic Chickpea Fusilli performed best. If a retailer is to list an item, the Organic Chickpea Fusilli has proven to resonate with consumers.
